With a howling, grisly
baritone and unique vaudeville-rock style, Ben Godwin’s
debut album, “Skin And Bone”, offers nine twisted cabaret
tales: hallucinatory dreams of struggle and hope amidst the
chaos and filth of Gotham City. Gravelly, fractured, and
apocalyptic, “Skin And Bone” is a high-energy time warp with
a mile-wide dark streak and tremendous rip-snorting
theatrical flair. |

A unique blend of breezy, bluesy, intimate songs of
emotional depth that recall Nick Drake as well as Jobim,
but, finally, are all his own. Great humor, too, and a
totally original guitar style.

The first extended residency, in 2005 at Caffe
Vivaldi, launched her career. She emerged from it with a
large following and established herself as major
singer/songwriter on the New York scene and beyond. NLX's
second(2006) residency "The Spring"- continued into Summer,
Fall and Winter at Vivaldi, as her fans wanted more. And she
is back with "more" new andexciting stuff in 2008.
"NLX traffics in unschooled, confessional, piano ballads."

Dan McCarthy
Tucksy
is a New York-based genre-bending jazz band that focuses on
the original writing of band-leader Dan McCarthy, as well as
cover songs from well-known rock and pop bands.
Conceptually, the band strives to create music that breaks
the rules of jazz by blending bluegrass, rock, and country
with a post-modern jazz aesthetic, and by fusing the grooves
of hip-hop and funk music with the improvisational approach
of jazz. Most importantly, the band focuses on melody and
song-structure and creates music that appeals to a broad
spectrum of listeners. Oh, and let it be known that this
band is led by the combination of banjo and vibraphone; a
first in the jazz world…. and bluegrass world… and country
world… and rock world… But don't let the novelty fool you,
as the pedigree of the players and the quality of the
musicianship is apparent from the first note.

Michal's music comes from a restless, dark place.
Influences like Fleetwood Mac and The Cure mix comfortably
with early Rolling Stones and The Smiths. Moving to New York
after playing in a London
band, he formed and dissolved alt rock band "Johnnie
Foreigner" within the space of a year and half - while his
creative compass swung wildly
in all directions. Emerging as an evolving solo artist, he
performs both by himself and with a backing band in New York
clubs.
